For extra whitening properties, you can apply honey to the skin before rubbing the lemon on.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera is a great treatment for sun-damaged skin. So for dark elbows that are caused by sun damage, try using Aloe Vera gel. Turmeric is fantastic for moisturizing and healing the skin. To apply to your elbow, mix turmeric with a small dish of milk and create a paste.
