The main cause of tooth decay is consuming foods that are full of carbohydrates (sugar and starches) that are left in a person’s mouth. The food particles grow on the bacteria that was left and later on will produce acids. The coating in the teeth will be destroyed quickly that from lead and it turns into cavities then into tooth decay.
If several types of bacteria make the acid, it quickly damages the tooth enamel and cavities will start to form. Not only that, the dentin, which is the basic layer. will also be damaged.
