So, How Do You Do It?
The procedure is very simple. You will have to sleep in a pair of ice cold socks. This may sound very strange at first, but this treatment has proved to be extremely effective. This is so because the treatment has the ability to naturally stimulate and strengthen the immune system.
This treatment is commonly known as a "heating compress". The cold socks create a gentle shock in the body, stimulating the heat production through increased blood circulation in order to warm up the cold, wet socks, says Dr. Wallace. “The body reacts to the cold socks by increasing blood circulation, which also stimulates the immune system. You have to ‘rev up’ the immune system, so it’s ready for battle against the affliction or condition.”
In this way, the congestion in the upper respiratory tracts is decreased.
